ABOUT US

“Do you pay regular visits to yourself?” — Rumi

Saha Yoga is an intimate studio nestled in the heart of downtown Ballston Spa. Depending on the time of day, our studio is vibrant and energetic from sun shining in the windows or cozy and calm from the setting sun-it is always inviting, it is always peaceful.

We are a woman-owned studio, which means you are supporting a small, local business — the backbone of our communities.

In addition to our classes and workshops, our studio features a dedicated Restoration Room — a warm, inviting sanctuary designed for deep rest and renewal. A cozy fireplace glows softly as Himalayan salt lamps and candlelight create a gentle, calming ambiance.

Delight in softly scented lavender or eucalyptus eye pillows, warmed shoulder and neck wraps, and an infrared crystal (jade and tourmaline) heating pad designed to melt away tension and soothe the body.

This tranquil space is perfect for private sessions, sacred circles, meditation, journaling, or simply sharing a quiet cup of tea and meaningful conversation. Think soothing. Think calming. Think dreamy. An opportunity to truly exhale and find serenity.

Leslie

RYT 200, Graduate of the Science of Happiness/Yale University online school

Leslie believes that "do more yoga" is the answer to most of life's questions and challenges. Yoga gives us the tools to center and quiet our minds, the means to explore our bodies and a general sense of connection to ourselves and our community.

Leslie's classes focus on building strength, increasing range of motion and playing with balance on our mats; so that we can better cope with life off of our mats. There will be many options and adaptations offered in class for the student to make their practice their own.

Leslie’s favorite T-shirt says "Yoga. Because punching people is frowned upon." She believes Yoga simply makes her a better human and looks forward to growing and laughing together on our mats!

Shannon

RYT-200, Reiki 1 & 2

Shannon approaches yoga as a powerful tool that can help us to increase our awareness of the present moment and our place within it. In embracing the present moment we are able to release our anxiety and fear tied to the past and future, and access the power and agency that is available to all of us in each moment through breathing, asana and meditation practice. Shannon seeks to help students explore their own mind body connection, and awareness of the present moment with curiosity, playfulness, and embodied heart centered practice that allows us to take what we learn in class off the mat and into the rest of our lives.

Andrea

CYT 200, Reiki 1, M.Ed.

Andrea believes yoga should be accessible to all and that there is no single “right way” to practice. Yoga is a tool for tuning into our emotions, strengthening the mind–body connection, and cultivating self-compassion.

With a background in special education, mental health counseling, and art, Andrea has spent over a decade supporting adolescents and adults in expressing themselves through creative embodiment. Her approach is inclusive, trauma-informed, and rooted in honoring each individual’s lived experience.

Andrea encourages a proactive and intuitive practice—doing what feels right for you, both on the mat and in daily life. For her, yoga is more than physical movement; it is a way of living with awareness, intention, and care.

As Aadil Palkhivala writes:

“True yoga is not about the shape of your body, but the shape of your life.

Yoga is not to be performed; it is to be lived.”
